SEC extended deadline for EE to submit rectified financial statements for 2023 and 2024. Observations on asset impairment needed adjustments. EE requested extension due to IFA review and auditor timing. Deadline extended.
Bangkok, 31 January 2025 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced an extension for Eternal Energy Public Company Limited (EE) to submit the revised financial statements for the year 2023 and the third quarter of 2024. The new deadlines are 28 February 2025 for the 2023 statements and 10 March 2025 for the third-quarter 2024 statements, replacing the original deadline of 10 February 2025.
Previously, the SEC raised concerns regarding the reasonableness and appropriateness of the assumptions used to calculate the recoverable amount for assessing asset impairment losses related to Cannabiz Way Co., Ltd. and CBD Bioscience Co., Ltd., which could affect both EE’s consolidated and separate financial statements.
The SEC has instructed EE to amend the financial statements for the year 2023 and the third quarter of 2024. The revised financial statements must be audited and reviewed by the auditor and submitted accordingly. At the same time, EE must disclose the relevant information in compliance with Section 56 of the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 (1992). Furthermore, the amended financial statements and the rectification report must be publicly disclosed through the SETLink Electronic System no later than February 10, 2025.
The SEC has allowed EE to delay the submission and public disclosure of its revised financial statements for the year 2023 and the third quarter of 2024. These statements must undergo auditing and review by the auditor before being submitted, along with the relevant reports, through the SETLink Electronic System. The deadline for the 2023 revised financial statements is February 28, 2025, while the deadline for the third quarter of 2024 is March 10, 2025.
