BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. The ceremony to
endorse Masoud Pezeshkian’s presidential decree by Iran’s Supreme
Leader Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei will be held on Sunday in
Tehran, Trend
reports.
The endorsement ceremony will be held at Imam Khomeini’s
Hussainiya, attended by Iranian officials, professors from
seminaries and universities, representatives of businesspersons,
families of Iranian martyrs, and ambassadors from other countries
in Tehran.
Meanwhile, Masoud Pezeshkian’s swearing-in ceremony will take
place in Parliament on July 30.
Representative of the ‘reformers’ camp Pezeshkian won with
almost 16.4 million votes, while his opponent Saeed Jalili received
13.5 million votes in the second round of the extraordinary
presidential election, held in Iran on July 5.
To recall, the helicopter flying from Khudaferin to Tabriz with
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein
Amir-Abdollahian, representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in Tabriz
Mohammad Ali Al Hashemi, and Governor of East Azerbaijan Province
Malek Rahmati crashed on May 19. The Iranian President and the
entire delegation accompanying him were dead.
